Bible and the Mass in Toledo

For the second time in three months Rob Corzine and I traveled to Findlay, Ohio, to offer Presenter training for Journey Through Scripture, the St. Paul Center’s parish-based Bible study series. And just like when we presented Genesis to Jesus back in March, we again enjoyed the company of a very large crowd of people from all over the Diocese of Toledo.

This time we spent the day studying The Bible and the Mass, the second in our Journey Through Scripture series. We focused on topics such as the biblical roots of the Mass in both the Old and New Testaments, the ultimate meaning of the Eucharistic sacrifice, and how Mass is a participation in heavenly worship. Of course we talked about much, much more and it was a great day spent with great people.

“This program is “for REAL” Thank You!”

I would be remiss in not mentioning that once again this event was promoted and organized beautifully by the wonderful crowd at Domus Angelorum: Joe and Terri Wenning, Marilyn Wagner, Bob and Jackie Baldwin, and of course, Fr. Scherger.

The really wonderful thing about seeing so many people come out for Journey Through Scripture is the knowledge that they’ll be taking all the materials and training we provided and presenting this exciting Scripture study in their own parishes – and that’s what it’s all about. Our goal is to make available life-transforming Scripture study to Catholics everywhere.

We want to equip ordinary lay people with everything they need to present dynamic Bible studies.

And we’re not finished with the Diocese of Toledo yet! We’ll be back in Findlay for the third time on September 19th offering The Bible and the Sacraments, the newest of the Journey Through Scripture series. Don’t miss it!  Click here for details.
