Dr. Brant Pitre

Dr. Brant Pitre - Senior Fellow

Dr. Brant Pitre earned his Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame, where he specialized in the study of Christianity and Judaism in Antiquity. He holds an M.T.S. in biblical studies from Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in Philosophy and English Literature from L.S.U.

He is the author of several articles and the books including:
A Catholic Introduction to the Bible: The Old Testament (co-authored with John Bergsma) (Ignatius Press, 2018),
Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist (Image Books, 2011),
Jesus the Bridegroom (Image Books, 2014),
Jesus and the Last Supper (Eerdmans, 2015), and
The Case for Jesus: The Biblical and Historical Evidence for Christ (Image, 2016).

Dr. Pitre is a speaker who lectures across the United States. He has produced myriad Bible studies, in which he explores the biblical foundations of Catholic faith and theology. He currently lives in Gray, Louisiana, with his wife Elizabeth, and their children.
