Dr. Scott Hahn

Dr. Scott Hahn

Scott Hahn is the Founder and President of the St. Paul Center. He is also the Fr. Michael Scanlan Professor of Biblical Theology and the New Evangelization at Franciscan University of Steubenville where he has taught since 1990.

 

Over the last three decades he has delivered thousands of talks and lectures, nationally and internationally, and he is the author and editor of over forty popular and academic books on topics related to scripture, theology, and the Catholic faith.

Dr. John Bergsma

John Bergsma is the Vice President of Biblical Theology and Mission Effectiveness at the St. Paul Center. He is also a distinguished Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville and a renowned expert in the Old Testament and the Dead Sea Scrolls.

 

A former Protestant pastor, Dr. Bergsma entered the Catholic Church in 2001 while getting his Ph.D. in Bible from the University of Notre Dame. A close collaborator of Dr. Scott Hahn, Bergsma speaks regularly on Catholic radio and at conferences and parishes nationally and internationally.

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers

Deacon Harold holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Theological Studies Degree from the University of Dallas.

 

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers – known around the world as the “Dynamic Deacon” – is one of the most sought-after speakers in the Church today. He is a powerful and passionate evangelist and preacher whose no-nonsense approach to living and proclaiming the Catholic faith is sure to challenge and inspire those who hear him.

Dr. Shane Owens

Shane Owens is assistant professor of theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville where he teaches Scripture and historical theology. After attending Franciscan, where Dr. Owens met his wife, Esther, and earned a masters in theology, he completed his PhD at the Catholic University of America. His scholarship focuses on St. Augustine of Hippo, especially his exegesis and ecclesiology as well as the Franciscan intellectual tradition.

 

He has previously taught at Catholic University, the Dominican House of Studies (DC), and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge. A longtime friend and collaborator of the St. Paul Center and Dr. Scott Hahn, Owens has a book forthcoming with Emmaus Road Publishing entitled, Return to the Heart, addressing St. Augustine's spirituality in his Confessions. The Owens family, currently numbering four, resides in Steubenville, Ohio.

Jeffrey Morrow

Dr. Jeffrey Morrow

Jeffrey Morrow earned his B.A. from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, with majors in both Comparative Religion and Classical Greek and with a minor in Jewish Studies. At Miami he became an evangelical Protestant, and then entered the Catholic Church, Easter Vigil of 1999. His M.A. from the University of Dayton in Theological Studies focused on Biblical Studies.Dr. Morrow is the author or co-author of nine books including Murmuring Against Moses: The Contentious History and Contested Future of Pentateuchal Studies (with John Bergsma, 2022); and Modern Biblical Criticism as a Tool of Statecraft (with Scott Hahn, 2020)

 

Dr. Morrow is Professor of Catholic Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology. He resides with his wife and their seven children in northern New Jersey.
