For the Love of Mary takes the reader on a spiritual journey of tender love that begins with the questions, “How do I fall in love with Mary, the mother of Jesus and my spiritual mother? How do I cultivate a deeper, more intimate and meaningful relationship with her, inviting her into my spiritual life?” Fr. Daniel-Maria Klimek, T.O.R., presents a path of deep spiritual intimacy with Mother Mary that includes practicing the “presence of Mary” in one’s life, consoling her Immaculate Heart through a spirituality of reparation, hearing her voice through her apparitions, and delving into a greater understanding of her sufferings as Mother of Sorrows. For the Love of Mary considers Our Lady’s important identity and role in matters that are seldom mentioned in books about her but are of the utmost importance, such as her role in spiritual warfare and the ministry of exorcism, as well as her role in the renewal of the priesthood in a time when the Church faces so much scandal and confusion. She is the Morning Star that guides the struggling Church—and each one of her children—in the midst of surrounding storms to a purer path.

Fr. Daniel-Maria Klimek, T.O.R., is a Franciscan friar and an Assistant Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Fr. Klimek received his doctorate in spirituality with distinction from the Catholic University of America, and a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School. His book, Medjugorje and the Supernatural, was published by Oxford University Press in 2018 and was the winner of the Faculty Award for Excellence in Scholarship. In addition to teaching and writing, Fr. Daniel-Maria is a spiritual director to many and has helped lead pilgrimages to Assisi, Rome, Medjugorje, and the sacred sites of Poland. He hosts the show “Living the Message” on MaryTV.

Fr. Donald Calloway, M.I.C.

“Erudite, pious, orthodox, and readable, For the Love of Mary is a fantastic book on Our Lady! The Franciscans have always had a tremendous devotion to Mary, and Fr. Klimek proves himself a true son of St. Francis by continuing to teach, preach, and write about the titles, privileges, and wonders of the Mother of God. Everyone who reads this book will find their hearts expanding and their minds contemplating the greatness of the Immaculata. I very highly recommend this book!”

Fr. Donald Calloway, M.I.C., Author of Consecration to St. Joseph

Anne Hendershott

“Fr. Klimek has given a valuable gift to us with this beautiful book. He has provided us with what we need to find a ‘path of love’ with Our Lady, the Mother of God. In moving vignettes, Fr. Klimek tells us of several saints—from St. Louis de Montfort to St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe to St. John Paul II—who credit the presence of Mary in their lives as key to their path of sanctification in Christ. Filled with moving stories, For the Love of Mary will inspire readers to develop or deepen their own loving relationship with Mary by inviting her into their inner lives.”

Anne Hendershott, Director of the Veritas Center for Ethics in Public Life at Franciscan University of Steubenville and Author of The Politics of Envy

Fr. Thomas Acklin, O.S.B.

“If, as the author says early in this book, the mystic is one who not only loves but falls in love with God, then this book is the writing of a mystic. Fr. Klimek graces us by sharing a most intimately personal love of his Mother Mary. His love in relationship with her radiates through these pages in which we do not simply hear about our Mother. We meet her; we relate to her. Especially valuable is his treatment of the sorrowful Mother and her share in the passion of her Son—indeed her stigmata.”

Fr. Thomas Acklin, O.S.B., Professor of Theology, Saint Vincent Seminary, and Coauthor of Spiritual Direction and Personal Prayer

Josef Seifert

“I found For the Love of Mary most edifying and nourishing of my faith and love of the triune God, of Jesus Christ, and of my heavenly Mother. Readers will appreciate the many beautiful quotes from Saints Bernardino, Maximilian Kolbe, Bonaventure, Catherine of Siena, Francis, John Paul II, and Faustina, as well as descriptions of their relevant works on Mary. The breadth and depth of the book and the constant impression on the reader that the author is indeed ‘in love’ with our heavenly mother Mary make this book a very, very special one. I recommend it enthusiastically and without reservation.”

Josef Seifert, Philosopher and Founder of the John Paul II Academy for Human Life and Family

For the Love of Mary beckons the reader to a deeper relationship with the Blessed Mother. In it we encounter Mary’s maternal and feminine qualities, reflect on her sufferings, and feel her comfort. Fr. Klimek masterfully elucidates, too, Mary as warrior, fighting for her son. He guides us on a journey of encounter with Mary through the saints, mystics, and her various apparitions throughout the world. At its core, this readable work reminds us, ‘Saying Yes to Beloved Mary means saying Yes to Jesus.’ It is readily evident how Fr. Klimek’s personal love for Mother Mary helped him to produce this fine work as a labor of love for the Church.”
