Steeped in the Church’s teachings on the feminine genius, marriage, and theology of the body, The Catholic Girl’s Survival Guide dishes with both wit and wisdom on some of the most pressing questions single women face: vocation, dating, sex, finances, work, depression, and more.

As hopeful and honest as it is fun and faithful, The Catholic Girl’s Survival Guide for the Single Years is the perfect companion for women whose journey to “I do” is turning out to be a longer one than they (or their mothers) would have liked.

Endorsements

“Emily Stimpson has written a book that manages to be light-hearted about the serious subject of singleness for Catholic women, but is still full of practical, nitty-gritty suggestions for growing through difficulties. Always uplifting, The Catholic Girls Survival Guide for the Single Years, offers timeless truths that help women see beyond current circumstances to grasp the bigger picture of life as a beloved daughter of God.  I highly recommend this book for anyone who is a single Catholic woman—or anyone who wants to learn how to love single women better. I don’t know of another book that does what this book does for single women—it’s simply outstanding.”

—Kimberly Hahn, Author, Life-Giving Love

“Wow. This is a good book. A really good book.  That very rare kind of singles’ book that strikes the perfect balance between honesty and optimism. The kind of book I wish I’d written myself. The book you should read if you’re single, female and . . . well, breathing.”

—MaryBeth Bonacci, Author, Real Love

The Catholic Girl’s Survival Guide for the Single Years is a delightful, easy read, full of insight and advice from someone who speaks from experience. Stimpson’s advice is practical, relevant, and encouraging; her writing style humorous and down to earth; her scope broad, covering major questions with which single women wrestle. A thoroughly enjoyable, refreshing guide for living a sane and spirited single life, women will find themselves returning to it for a needed boost of inspiration or consolation. For women whose current singleness was not part of ‘the plan,’ this book is a must read!”

Anastasia Northrop, Founder and Director, National Catholic Singles Conference

“I am secure enough in my masculinity to admit publicly that I LOVE this book. Emily Stimpson covers a serious subject, an important subject, but she does it in a way that’s never dour or dire or desperate. In fact, she made this married guy laugh out loud—over and over again. I have five daughters, and they’ll all be better off for befriending this book. As for me: Miss Stimpson has helped me to appreciate all the fussing that goes on in my (estrogen-powered) home over babies and puppies and cashmere sweaters.”
