Pope John Paul II has called the Rosary “a true doorway to the depths of the Heart of Christ, ocean of joy and light, of suffering and glory.” Author Tim Gray celebrates this life-changing truth as he uncovers the deep scriptural roots of the five Luminous Mysteries—the Baptism in the Jordan, the Wedding of Cana, the Proclamation of the Kingdom, the Transfiguration, and the Institution of the Eucharist.
Together with the prayer of Mary—the quiet Mother who kept every look, word, and gesture of her Son close to her heart—this delightful meditation will deepen your understanding of the Gospels while inspiring deeper prayer.
The Luminous Mysteries: Biblical Reflections on the Life of Christ includes five meditations from the Church Fathers—John Chrysostom, Origen, Pope St. Leo the Great, and Hippolytus—on the Luminous events.
Prayers inspired by each mystery and reflection questions make this text ideal for personal or group study.

Reviews
I reread this book yesterday and loved it again. There is so much clarity that Dr. Gray gives to the meaning of each mystery. When I pray the rosary I try to deeply reflect on each mystery and sometimes I don't do so good. This book gives me a treasure-trove of insight into the mysteries that I almost go into a trance focusing on them. Thank you so much Dr. Gray!!
