Reverend Kris D. Stubna, S.T.D. was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 1985. He studied at Duquesne University and at the North American College in Rome where he earned licentiate and doctorate degrees in fundamental theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He has served as a parochial vicar and the Director for Catechesis in the diocese. Father Stubna has been Secretary for Education in the Diocese of Pittsburgh since 1994.
Father Stubna has written extensively on Catholic education, theology and pastoral issues and teaches theology at area colleges. He also edited The Catholic Vision of Love, a chastity education program, co-authored What Catholics Believe: A Pocket Catechism, A Pocket Catechism for Kids, and Opening the Scriptures: A Guide to the Catechism for Us With the Sunday Readings all published by Our Sunday Visitor.
