Monsignor A. Robert Nusca, Senior Fellow of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, is a Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto, ordained in 1988.
He is the author of The Christ of the Apocalypse: Contemplating the Faces of Jesus in the Book of Revelation (Emmaus Road Publishing, 2018).
He holds a Doctorate in Sacred Theology (S.T.D.) from the Pontifical Gregorian University (1998). His Dissertation is entitled: “Heavenly Worship, Ecclesial Worship: A Liturgical Approach to the Hymns of the Apocalypse of St. John,” and was written under the direction of Fr. Ugo Vanni, SJ. He completed a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture (S.S.L.) at the Pontifical Biblical Institute (1993)and holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from St. Augustine’s Seminary (1988), a Bachelor of Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) from St. Paul’s University, Ottawa (1988), and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Toronto (1980).
Msgr. Nusca is currently the Pastor of Holy Rosary Church in Toronto. From 2001-2014 he served as the President and Rector of St. Augustine’s Seminary of Toronto – a Member College of the Toronto School of Theology, and federated with the University of Toronto; and served as the Seminary’s Dean of Students (1997-2001). He is an Associate Professor of New Testament Studies and has been a member of the Seminary’s Formation Faculty since 1996.
