Meet the Presenters
Dr. Scott Hahn
Scott Hahn is the Founder and President of the St. Paul Center. He is also the Fr Michael Scanlan Professor of Biblical Theology and the New Evangelization at Franciscan University of Steubenville where he has taught since 1990.
Over the last three decades he has delivered thousands of talks and lectures, nationally and internationally, and he is the author and editor of over forty popular and academic books on topics related to scripture, theology, and the Catholic faith.
Dr. John Bergsma
John Bergsma is the Vice President of Biblical Theology and Mission Effectiveness at the St. Paul Center. He is also a distinguished Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville and a renowned expert in the Old Testament and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
A former Protestant pastor, Dr. Bergsma entered the Catholic Church in 2001 while getting his Ph.D. in Bible from the University of Notre Dame. A close collaborator of Dr. Scott Hahn, Bergsma speaks regularly on Catholic radio and at conferences and parishes nationally and internationally.
Kimberly Hahn
Kimberly Hahn has been married to Scott since 1979. They met at Grove City College, where Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, magna cum laude. While Scott studied to be a pastor, Kimberly earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies at the same school, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, graduating in May 1982, magna cum laude.
Kimberly became a Catholic at the Easter Vigil of 1990 in Joliet, Illinois, after a difficult struggle during the four years following Scott’s entrance into the Catholic Church. She completed a book with Scott on their journey into the Catholic Church entitled Rome Sweet Home: Our Journey to Catholicism.
Dr. Matthew Breuninger
Dr. Matthew Breuninger is an assistant professor of psychology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He earned an MA in Theology from Ave Maria University and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Baylor University. Dr. Breuninger is a licensed clinical psychologist. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. His academic interests comprise the intersection of faith and psychology, the psychology of religion, and virtue formation.
Dr. Breuninger is a research fellow with the Austin Institute for the Study of Family and Culture as well as a member of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association. He is the founder of the Wellspring Counseling and Coaching in Steubenville, Ohio and author of Finding Freedom in Christ: Healing Life’s Hurts. You can also find him on the St. Paul Center's newest podcast, Drawing Flame, along with his co-host Dr. Shane Owens.
