Mary and the Church: Two Realizations of One Mystery
Join us for a special evening with Fr. John L. Nepil, theologian and author of A Bride Adorned, as he reflects on the profound relationship between the Virgin Mary and the Church.
In his recent book, Fr. Nepil traces a remarkable theological journey that began in the nineteenth century and found new life in the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. Through the lens of figures such as Matthias Scheeben, Hans Urs von Balthasar, and other great theologians, he explores how Mary reveals the deepest identity of the Church — as both mother and bride, as one who receives and gives life through her union with Christ.
In this talk, Fr. Nepil will invite us to rediscover the Church’s Marian heart. With clarity and warmth, he will open a window onto a vision of faith that is both ancient and new — one that calls us to renewal, beauty, and deeper communion with God and one another.
