First Bible Study of 2009

In late February, our Bible study training team of Matt Leonard and Rob Corzine headed to the “Sooner State” of Oklahoma to equip folks in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City with Genesis to Jesus, the flagship study of the Center’s Journey Through Scripture series.

Now trained and possessing all the materials to take this great Bible study on salvation history to their own parishes, these people are excited. One trainee commented, “It was a great presentation and gives a framework of hope for us. May God continue to bless your work!”

Another participant remarked to us that “a huge subject has been clearly defined and broken into easily understood and relevant parts…Come back! Teach more classes!”

They weren’t the only ones having fun. Once again we were reminded that southern hospitality is not simply a cliché. Fr. Robert Wood, pastor of the beautifully renovated St. James the Greater Catholic Church, was a most gracious host. Many thanks to Barbara Basgall, Kate Micaletti and all the others who made it possible for us to attend. Y’all were great.

Oklahoma City was only the first of our Journey Through Scripture diocesan training sessions this year and several more are on the schedule. Keep an eye on our website for upcoming events in your area.
