About the Author
Sr. Faustina Maria Pia, S.V. was raised in Somers, Connecticut and studied Human Services and Nursing, desiring to serve those who are suffering. After experiencing a call from Jesus, she entered the Sisters of Life in 2009 and professed her final vows in 2018. The Sisters of Life are a community of religious women who vow to protect the sacred dignity of every human life; their missions include serving women in crisis pregnancies and women who have suffered the wound of abortion. Sr. Faustina currently resides in New York and serves as the local superior of the Sacred Heart Convent.

This book speaks to my soul
In this new book, Sr. Faustina Maria of the Sisters of Life expands on each of the lines in the Litany of Trust, a prayer she wrote and has since become widely popular, creating a rich and reflective 30 day retreat. Perfect for personal prayer, or even for a group to read together, it really has been a gift to my prayer life over the past couple of weeks. Trust is something we are never finished growing in on this side of Heaven, and I think that anyone could benefit from these reflections!
This book is exactly what I need right now in my life! Trust is hard! Nearly every line of this litany is relatable to me and has been a great resources for opening up my heart to trust God more fully, to see the invitations He sends, and to feel not alone in the struggle.
I received this book in the mail, even though I didn't order it. But, it was certainly the providence of God. I'm about halfway through, and it has been very convicting, encouraging and enlightening in a way few other retreats and spiritual books have been for me. Trust is foundational in any close relationship, and most especially with God, yet it seems to be the hardest thing to have and hold on to consistently, in every moment of every day and any situation. With Lent approaching, this has given me a focus for Lent -- to learn to trust God more deeply and profoundly than ever before.
This is such an anointed book...every word/sentence is packed full of insight and PAUSE. I just cannot read. I must stop and reflect! I have started using Index cards for the very rich/profound statements Sr Faustina makes!! A great book for everyone Rosemarie
This book is such a treasure! I don't remember how I found out about it, but I will be recommending it to many (and already have). Sr. Faustina's insights are from the heart -- the heart of God! I have wept, I have nodded in agreement, I have exclaimed out loud at the revelations. Such beautiful illuminations, and words to express them so perfectly, reaching the center of the soul. Highly recommend!
I'm technically a protestant who draws guidance in prayer from sources in the catholic faith side as well. I have given this book to other protestant sisters after enjoying it on my own with God. I'm overjoyed that today my 15 year old daughter, who tells me she has a hard time trusting anyone, has agreed to go through this book with me as a homeschool devotional for the next 30 weeks. We'll take it slow to take it in. I look forward to my second journey through this guide as I meditate on these essential truths with my daughter.
