Getting Started
Whether you’re studying Scripture for the first time, looking to take your studies to a higher level, or whether you’re ready for advanced training, you’ve come to the right place!
We offer six individual courses. Each course contains a complete text, including cross-references and links to Scripture and other Church documents. In Addition, for each track of study we recommend books that will enhance your study and prayer and build your library of essential works in biblical theology and spirituality.
Our studies are free. But you must be logged in to access them. Log in or create a free account to begin.
How to Use Our Online Studies
Work at your own pace: All courses and each individual lesson will be archived and can be read or printed at any time.
No charge: Courses are free.
Log in: Create a free account or log in to get free access to our courses. Just enter your name and email address to get started.
Private Study. No grades: Our courses are strictly for your private study. We do provide study questions, but cannot offer grades or on-line question and answer sessions with our instructors.
Free Will Offering: If you like what we’re doing here, please tell others about us and consider supporting our non-profit apostolate. Everyone who contributes at any amount will begin receiving our monthly publication Breaking the Bread. In every issue of Breaking the Bread you’ll find short Bible studies by Dr. Hahn on the readings for each of that month’s Sunday Masses.These studies are aimed at helping you better understand the story of salvation as it comes to us in the Old and New Testament readings.
Tips for Learning
- Read each lesson as well as the Bible passages and other resources the instructor recommends. Taking notes will help you remember what you read. Then answer the study questions.
- In between lessons, review your notes, reread the lessons and continue to study and pray over the Bible passages cited by the instructor. Using a daily Missal, you may want to see how these passages are used and interpreted in the Church’s liturgy.
- Be sure you begin and end each study session with prayer.
